PNP and AFP consider recruiting gays and lesbians

In order to bolster its current force, the Philippines National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is considering the idea of recruiting transgender to join the force. This is needed to fight the growing insurgency and war on terror.

The AFP is a volunteer force and has a total active strength of 113,500 with 131,000 personnel in reserve.
