Kitchen Confidential became an unlikely, but enduring, international bestseller. He has since milked that lucky break for everything it's worth.

No Reservations (now entering its fifth season), he travels the globe to sample such food at local haunts in big cities and small villages.

He visited the Philippines recently as part of his "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations FAN-atic Special".

Augusto Elefanio, an enthusiatic Filipino-American living in Long Island, New York is the runner-up of the Special Casting Call. Together with his Chinese-American wife and his family, they were flown back to Cebu to serve as Anthony’s guide (fixer) in discovering the region’s culture and culinary delights.
