The Philippine Country Fair in Singapore 2009 is a three day long festivity commemorating the Philippine’s 111th year of Philippine Independence.
The fair will showcase The Philippines, its travel and tourism, trade, arts and culture, as well as cuisine. It is to be held on the weekend of 12-14 June 2009; hitting one of the weekends when the Great Singapore Sale takes place, targeting a turnout of 20,000 people - Filipinos and locals alike.
The venue is the open activity space between The Atrium at Orchard and Plaza Singapura, a well-appointed area right in the heart of Orchard Road, with high traffic flow of MRT and bus commuters, working professionals, students, families and tourists.
The theme this year is “Live Your Dreams” and serves to remind Singaporeans and visitors that - despite the stress of urbanization and progress, and in recent times, the economic slowdown – we can still reach out for our dreams of something different as a break from everyday lifestyle.
